More recommendations

Today we rolled out more recommendations at fundies.no. So far, we have given you recommendations based on your previous shopping history. Starting today, we will also give you recommendations based on the contents of your shopping cart and products you have looked at during your current visit. This functionality has been added earlier in our demo shop, but we decided to wait and experiment a bit more before rolling them out to customers.

Since we are now using several sources for recommendations, we blend the results. The items you are browsing now indicates your current focus and will have the highest priority in the recommendations. Putting a product in the cart means you have found something interesting and that is also an important signal. Your previous shopping history is used as the baseline for your visit. The blending algorithms are very important to us and we continuously strive to improve them and this description may not be accurate a week from now.
